2026 Indonesia SNI Certification: Standards, Testing Items & Products

SNI is Indonesia’s mandatory national standard, administered by BSN and supervised by Kemenperin. Only BSN‑authorized LSPro bodies may issue certificates.

Two certification schemes:

·LSPro Product Certification: long‑term validity, factory audit required, for regular exports

·LSU Batch Certification: single‑batch validity, no factory audit, for small‑volume shipments

I. Core Categories & General Requirements (2026)

1.Electronics & Electrical AppliancesElectrical safety, EMC, some with energy efficiency. Old standards abolished.

2.Automotive PartsSafety performance, strict testing, updated standards from late 2025.

3.Toys & Children’s ProductsChemical and physical safety, mandatory age grading from 2026.

All SNI standards include local national differences.

II. 2026 Updated Standards & Products (Electronics Focus)

1.AV Equipment (TVs, set‑top boxes, speakers)Standard: SNI IEC 62368‑1:2014 (mandatory since 2025)Tests: electrical safety, audio‑visual performance

2.Home Appliances (AC, fridge, washer, fan)

·AC/fridge: SNI IEC 60335‑1:2018 + part‑specific standards

·Fans: SNI 7609:2019AC/fridge require energy efficiency labels.

3.Lighting (LED lamps, controllers)Standards: SNI IEC 60598‑1:2018, SNI IEC 61347‑2‑3:2017Plugs must comply with Type C / F (230V~50Hz).
