Blue Asia Labs is a Bluetooth SIG member laboratory providing BQB qualification testing and end product listing support for Bluetooth audio, wearables, IoT modules and peripherals.
Capability & Accreditation Scope
| Test Object | Reference Standard | Scope & Accreditation |
|---|---|---|
| Bluetooth modules and end products | Bluetooth SIG test specifications (RF-PHY, LL, L2CAP, GATT, etc.) | SIG-qualified test facility; reports used directly for BQB listing |
| Bluetooth 5.x and legacy versions | Version-specific test cases | End products and modules both covered |
| Pre-test and debugging | SIG test plan | Issue localization before formal qualification |
What is Bluetooth BQB Certification?
Any product using Bluetooth wireless technology must complete Bluetooth SIG qualification (BQB certification) and be listed in the Bluetooth end product list (EPL) before it may be marketed with the Bluetooth trademark.
Testing Scope
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| RF conformance | TX power, RX sensitivity, frequency accuracy and modulation characteristics per Bluetooth core spec |
| Protocol conformance | L2CAP, ATT, GATT, SMP and profile-level conformance for adopted profiles |
| Profile qualification | A2DP, HFP, AVRCP, HID, BLE mesh and other adopted profile testing |
| Interoperability | Interop testing against reference phones, headsets and reference devices |
| End product listing | QDID registration, declaration and EPL listing for finished products |
| Design listing | DLL-based cost-effective listing for module and reference design reuse |
Certification Process
- Feasibility check — Confirm controller, stack and profile combination, and whether DLL/EPL listing applies.
- Sample testing — RF, protocol and profile conformance testing with engineering pre-scan.
- QDID & declaration — Test report submitted to Bluetooth SIG; QDID issued upon approval.
- EPL listing — End product declared and listed; trademark usage authorized for marketing.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does BQB certification cost?
Cost depends on the number of profiles and whether you use design listing (DLL). Design listing is the most economical path for module-based products. Contact us for a fixed quotation.
How long does BQB certification take?
Typically 4–8 weeks from sample delivery to EPL listing, depending on Bluetooth SIG review queues and retest needs.
Do you support Bluetooth 5.4 and LE Audio?
Yes. Our lab covers Bluetooth 5.x core specifications including LE Audio, Auracast and related profiles.
Can you help fix failures?
Yes. Every failure comes with a root-cause analysis and RF/antenna remediation guidance from our engineers.
